Heather Rose sent me a thank-you copy of Finding Serendipity, which she co-authored with Danielle Wood as “Angelica Banks”. The recommended age range is 8 – 12 but 40 pages in last night, both my 6YO and 4YO were riveted.
Aside from the gorgeous cover, I’m enjoying the strong female protagonist and the upheaval of gender stereotypes. I also love the voice (which is amazingly distinct and consistent for something written by 2 people!) and the way it celebrates the art of writing. My kids just love the story!
