Some of you may have noticed a pop-up form now appearing on this site. I’ve started collecting email addresses with a view to offering a “News & Opportunities for Women Writers” newsletter.

The WordMothers blog will continue as is with book reviews, interviews, and guest posts. The new newsletter will be for sharing submission calls and other, time-sensitive topics of interest to writers specifically, rather than general booklovers.

If you’ve subscribed to WordMothers via your email address, I can add you to the new mailing list myself; if you don’t want to receive future newsletters, simply unsubscribe when the first newsletter hits your inbox.

If you follow this blog as a WordPress user, you’ll need to physically subscribe yourself. Please fill out the pop-up subscription form.

My goal is to publish the new newsletter roughly every other month. If you’re running a literary magazine / press / festival and want your call included in a future issue, please contact me far enough in advance for a mention.

NB: I already publish a similar newsletter through my personal website, sharing opportunities for writers working in the mental & physical health / medical / disability space, so if you’re a marginalized creative seeking submission calls of that nature, feel free to sign up for that, too. I can’t for the life of me get the subscription form to embed, so just head over to Nicole Melanson and fill out that pop-up after this one. 🙂
