So this arrived in the post this morning.

I love the whole concept of this book – poetry inspired by old photographs of anonymous women. How cool is that?

The book is beautifully presented and I can’t wait to read it from cover to cover, but having just come back inside after hanging out laundry in the brilliant Sydney sun, these are the lines that jumped out at me:

“There is no fence, or rather, there is this fence: a cloud of linen napkins to separate the earth from sky. Call it the gabled, white, cotton banner. It sets off in one direction and is forever the line we should not cross.”

— Marisol Baca

Thanks for the book mail, Meg!
